Who runs DEM8
DEM8 is run by Denys Feshchenko, a private individual in the Netherlands. Questions: privacy@dem8.eu. By creating an account you accept these terms. How your data is handled is in the privacy notice.
What DEM8 is — and is not
DEM8 is a training log for sport shooters: it finds the holes in a photo of your target, scores them, and keeps your history, analysis and coaching tips. Scores are an estimate from a photo. They are not official match results; check them against the sheet when it matters.
DEM8 is not a safety tool. Safe handling of firearms and ammunition is always your own responsibility. Follow the law, the range rules and the range officer, your club and your association (such as the KNSA). Coaching tips and drills, including dry fire, are suggestions for practice: only do them where it is allowed, with an unloaded firearm after a clear-gun check, and never if a tip conflicts with a safety rule. Using the app on the range must never distract you from the firing line.
Who can use it
You must be 16 or older. You use DEM8 only for lawful sport shooting and only with firearms you are allowed to use. One account is for one person; keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else used your account.
Your photos and data
What you upload stays yours. You let DEM8 store and process it only to run the service for you — detecting holes, scoring, analysis and backups. Upload only photos you are allowed to share: no other people without their consent, nothing unlawful. You can download everything or delete your account at any time in Account.
A free beta
DEM8 is free while it is in beta. Features may change, appear or go away, and the service may be unavailable at times. If paid plans come later, they will be announced in advance, and nothing will ever be charged without you choosing a plan yourself. Download your data now and then if it matters to you.
Fair use
Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits or security of DEM8, or reach other people’s accounts. An account that does may be suspended or closed; where possible you will be told first and can download your data.
Liability
DEM8 is provided as it is, with care but without guarantees that it is error-free or always available. As far as Dutch law allows, DEM8 is not liable for indirect damage, lost data or results based on scores or tips from the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or the rights you have as a consumer.
Ending and changes
You can stop at any time by deleting your account. If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be told in the app before the change applies; using DEM8 after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
Dutch law applies. A dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to the court where you live.
