How do I photograph a sheet so every hole is found?
Straight on, the whole sheet in the frame, in even light without your shadow on it. One sheet per photo; for Service Pistol, left and right are two photos. Hold still: a blurred photo loses holes, and DEM8 asks you to retake it.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Add DEM8 to your home screen once while online; on the range it opens and scans without signal, and saved sheets go up by themselves when the signal is back. A chip at the top counts what still waits.
Two pistols on one day?
Pick the pistol in the scanner. Each pistol gets its own session that day, with its own caliber — that matters for scoring, as a hole touching a line counts by the bullet’s size.
A hole was missed, or something that isn’t a hole was marked.
Tap Add and place the hole, or drag a marker onto the right spot; Delete removes a wrong one. Dashed rings are suggestions worth a look. Your corrections teach the detector your sheets, your light and your board.
Two holes in one place?
When a sheet comes up a shot short, DEM8 splits a blob the size of two holes into two markers. If it didn’t, add the second one by hand.
Is the score the same as the official one?
It is an estimate from a photo, usually exact; for a match, the range officer’s count of the sheet is what counts.
I forgot my password.
Sign in with your passkey (Face ID or fingerprint), or use your recovery code under Forgot password? Without either, ask for a reset link there: it comes to your email within minutes. Set up a passkey and a recovery code in Account so you never need the link.
How do I delete my data?
Account → Download my data gives you everything first; Delete account removes the account, its sessions and its photos at once.
How do the drills work?
Train → This week → Drills. Each drill has its steps, why it helps and a moving picture. Timed drills run full screen like a shot timer: a beep after a random pause, the par beep, then tap Made it or Missed. Pass every rep and the next set’s par is 0.1 s tighter. Dry-fire drills ask for the clear-gun check first.
How do I connect my shot timer?
Open a timed drill and tap Connect a Shooters Global timer (SG Timer, SG Timer 2 or GO). The timer then gives the beeps and hears every shot, dry clicks too, and each rep is marked by itself. It needs Bluetooth in the browser: Chrome on Android or a computer; on iPhone use the free Bluefy browser, as Safari has none.
How do I start with IPSC at home?
Print DEM8’s IPSC sheet from the Home IPSC card (A5 or A4, the size of your BB trap), shoot it with an airsoft pistol at 3, 5 or 7 m and photograph it. DEM8 finds the bold outline by itself and counts the hits per zone: A, C and D. Eye protection for everyone in the room; only the airsoft pistol at home.
What counts as dry fire in my week?
A dry-fire session you log with + Dry fire, and every dry-fire drill you finish. Set how many range days and dry-fire sessions you aim for under Plan your week.
How does the club board work?
Account → Club: start one or join with the code a member shares. Your Service Pistol series of the day appear on the club’s board by themselves; give your pistol its class (GKP, DOT…) in Account. The club sees names, classes and scores — never photos.
How do I show a session to my coach?
Open the session in History → Share with a coach. The link shows that session’s report without signing in, until you stop it. The same place has the CSV and a report to print or save as PDF.
